#Igetter more threads download#Powered by: vBulletin Lite Version 1.0.0 LiteĬopyright © Jelsoft Enterprises Limited 2000.Best Download Manager for Windows and Mac Last 20 sites which you have entered in Site Explorer should appear on the drop down URL field.Īll contents of these forums are copyright ©Ģ001-2016 Presenta Ltd. On the other hand, Site Explorer allows you to browse sites. #Igetter more threads password#Once saved your username and password for that site will be used next time you use Site Explorer or New URL dialogs without the need to enter them each time manually. Site Manager is for storing authentication info. Indeed, refresh command is not present currently, so I added it in the iGetter Wish List. Am i just missing something for this second point? It shows up in the menu, 'Tools > Options > Site manager.īut there doesn't seem to be a way to open it into the site explorer again from there. despite ticking 'save to site manager' when i entered in the ftp address, it was no longer there after restarting iGetter. This brings me to the second problem i noticed. so if files change you need to restart iGetter.Ģ. When adding a new site to the site explorer you can browse through the site fine, but you cannot refresh it. I just noticed a few intuitive things that seem to be missing from at least the windows version.ġ. #Igetter more threads software#Hi, Just tested out this software as a way to more quickly download ftp files (that worked fine by the way, good speeds) I can name lots of apps that have such feature, including but not limited to Yahoo Messenger, ooVoo, Skype, etc.Īs for the scheduler, I can't really believe I hadn't seen that option before, maybe because I was always looking for it among the options. Regarding the minimizing feature, is there a chance you'd add a minimize to tray option then? I mean a situation in which Igetter is enabled and working but only appears in the Tray and not the Taskbar. This is the first time we hear that someone wants to schedule the speed limit option, but it sounds reasonable. Option is at iGetter options, Acceleration panel. ![]() If you use the Speed limit, you can turn it on at the next start of iGetter (otherwise iGetter starts with speed limit turned off). It's at menu Tools -> "Schedule Downloads". Decoding/removing % characters from the file name is a feature request which we added to the iGetter Wish List.Ĥ. This problem appears very rarely and we have not be able to track it down, yet.ģ. Minimizing in both cases work similarly, there is a differences only in the animation while iGetter window minimizes.Ģ. #Igetter more threads windows 7#The Windows 7 (and 8) taskbar icon is a new feature of Windows and we can only use it. We could control only the iGetter tray icon which appears regardless of Windows version. I'm really sorry for double-posting, it seems I submitted the thread in the wrong section, please move it as you see fit.ġ. I think it would be great if you add a scheduler to Igetter so that we'd be able to configure Igetter to start/stop downloads at a specific time or apply speed restrictions. I also found another thread here about the same issue which means there are other people who'd like this issue addressed.Ģ. I'd really appreciate if you consider adding a filter to Igetter so that such specific characters would be automatically changed from their Hex form to their normal character form in the file name. Since Igetter grabs the file name from the URL, if the file name includes characters like space, "", etc which would respectively be changed to %20, %5B, %5D, etc by browsers in certain conditions, the file names get completely messed up. The issue can only be fixed by closing and re-opening Igetter.ġ. For whatever reason, sometime after I start Igetter and minimize and restore it a few times (or maybe after I open certain programs), the size of the font in the GUI increases for no reason, like this: Well, I'd really appreciate if you add an option in the next version so that the users can choose whether they want Igetter stay in Taskbar when minimized or just minimize to Tray honestly, there is no point for a download manager that has a perfectly working Tray icon to also stay in the Taskbar when minimized.Ģ. A few threads down another user reported the same issue and was told that this is the behavior intended by the developers. ![]() In XP, when Igetter is minimized, it minimizes to Tray while in Win 7, when Igetter is minimized, it shows up in both Taskbar and Tray. I am a long-term Igetter user on windows and since I noticed that fortunately there is still interest in updating the windows version and a new version was released a few weeks ago (v2.6.7), I thought I'd start a thread here and mention some points.įirst of all, since I moved from Win XP to Win 7 recently, I have noticed some different behavior from Igetter:ġ. ![]()
